Terms of service
1. Who we are
PenPath Studio is a one-person plotter-art studio based in Scotland, trading as PenPath. The website is operated by PenPath Studio and hosted on Lovable Cloud. For correspondence, please open a ticket on our contact page.
2. Using the website
You must be at least 16 years old to place an order. You may browse the site and use the design tools for personal, non-commercial use unless we agree otherwise in writing. Do not attempt to disrupt the site, scrape content, or use automated tools to place orders.
3. Orders and pricing
All prices are shown in GBP and include VAT where applicable. The price you pay is the price displayed at checkout. We reserve the right to correct pricing errors before an order is accepted. Custom maps are made to order and are priced according to the options you select in the designer.
4. Payment
Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your full card details. When you place an order, Stripe handles the payment and informs us when it has completed successfully. We only accept an order once payment has cleared.
5. Shipping and delivery
We ship as soon as your piece is plotted, dried, and packed. Delivery estimates are shown at checkout and are not guaranteed. Prints are sent in a protective sleeve and rigid mailer or tube. Risk of loss passes to you once the item is delivered to the address provided.
6. Cancellation and returns
If you are a UK or EU consumer, you generally have 14 days from receipt to cancel your order for a refund. However, custom maps and made-to-order items are excluded from this right because they are produced to your personal specifications. If a custom print arrives damaged, defective, or materially different from the preview, contact us and we will offer a replacement or refund.
7. Intellectual property
All designs, maps, photographs, and content on the website are owned by PenPath Studio or licensed to us. When you order a custom map, you receive the physical print and a personal, non-exclusive licence to use any digital preview we provide for non-commercial purposes. You may not reproduce, sell, or distribute the artwork without our written permission.
8. Liability
We do our best to make sure every map is accurate and beautifully plotted, but we cannot guarantee that every geographic detail will match the latest real-world changes. Our liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order, except where liability cannot be limited by law (such as death or personal injury caused by negligence).
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Scotland, and any dispute will be resolved in the courts of Scotland.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version that applies to your order is the version that was live when you placed it.
