About the studio

PenPath is a small studio drawing line maps of towns, one stroke at a time, on a desktop pen plotter. Every map starts as open street data, gets carefully framed and styled, and is then drawn by an AxiDraw with archival pigment ink on heavyweight cotton paper.

No two maps are the same. Each takes 30–90 minutes to plot depending on size and density, and is signed and numbered before it goes out.
